Joe Costello TD Statement by Joe Costello TD
Spokesperson on Transport

Labour Party members and supporters will continue to distribute leaflets and canvass voters until the close of polling at 10pm on Friday 2nd October.

Ratification of the Lisbon Treaty is essential for Ireland’s economic recovery and our future in the European Union.

Every vote will be crucial and we are determined to leave nothing to chance.

On Saturday 3rd October, Dublin Central and Dublin South East constituencies will carry out a full tally of the votes from the time of opening of the ballot boxes at 9.00am in the RDS, Ballsbridge.

I will be in contact with Labour MEPs and TDs throughout Friday as well as visiting the 23 Polling Stations in my own constituency of Dublin Central.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emer Costello, and myself will be voting in our local polling station, St. Gabriels N.S. Cowper Street, Dublin 7 at 7.30am.

I will be available all day for comment or query.
